A carved miter for a little jog in the railing where it anchors to the wall corner at the top floor. I love this solution and will always opt to carve a miter in situations like this whenever practical.

Done! Spent the day fairing all the joints and making it super duper smooth. It never gets old. The hard work really pays off.
